About
This chaplaincy degree includes a Chaplain Certification Clinical Program. The chaplain trainee would complete a three-month course of study, on-line class-room instruction, and clinical hours. The course also includes reading the book, “A Chaplain’s Journey” by Dr. Jerry L. Bowers. The clinical training would be done by accompanying a police or hospital chaplain on visits and attending police or other functions. The chaplain trainee would then write a report called a “verbatim” report to turn in to a clinical supervisor every two weeks and discuss the report with other trainees. The class instruction and course study portion of the program would give the chaplain trainee 1-Chaplain Education Unit (CEU). The clinical training for the certification program would give the chaplain trainee a second CEU. The completion of the six months clinical training for the associates degree would give an additional CEU credit. The standard professional training would be for all chaplains to have at least two CEU’s for certification. The chaplain would be encouraged to obtain the associates degree in chaplaincy as a part of continuing education after certification which we offer. The Book of Acts Now Global University Chaplain’s Board will be the endorsing agency for accreditation upon the recommendation of the local administrator.
